Joburg Ballet announces casts for Don Quixote

Cuban-born ballerina Claudia Monja headlines the opening night cast of Joburg Ballet’s Don Quixote at the Joburg Theatre on Friday 28 August when she stars in the role of Kitri opposite the dashing Basilio of fellow Cuban, Juan Carlos Osma.

This marks role debuts for both dancers and a special moment for Ms Monja who was prevented by injury from dancing her first Swan Queen in Joburg Ballet’s Swan Lake earlier this year.  Claudia Monja and Juan Carlos Osma follow their opening night performance with two further performances on Saturday 5 September at 3pm and Sunday 13 September, also at 3pm.
