Bruno Miranda was born in Joinville, Brazil, and began his studies at the age of nine at the Bolshoi Theatre School in his home city. In 2009 he started his professional career with Cia Jovem ETBB where he remained for three years. In 2011 he moved to Rio de Janeiro to join the company of choreographer Deborah Colker, performing in Brazil and internationally. In 2013 he joined the Sesc Dance Company in Belo Horizonte, remaining there for four years during which time he worked with national and international choreographers in classical and contemporary techniques and had the opportunity to choreograph.

Bruno Miranda joined Joburg Ballet in August 2017. His repertoire with the company has included leading and supporting roles in classical and contemporary ballets, among them Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, Carmen and Giselle as well as many one-act and shorter works. In addition to his professional dance career he has participated in ballet and dance competitions and has served on the juries of several of dance festivals.
